Domain & store settings

Store details, your own domain, policy pages, search engines and inventory settings.

Settings → General

Store name, logo, tagline, your state (used for GST), contact details, store languages, and Search & sharing — the title and description search engines and WhatsApp previews show.

Going on holiday

Settings → General → Holiday stops orders in one click — for Diwali, a wedding in the family or stock-taking. While it's on, every product shows out of stock, nothing can be added to a cart and checkout refuses with "This store isn't taking orders until …"; every page shows a notice with your message ("Away for Diwali — happy festivals!") in the buyer's language. Your stock quantities are not changed, so switching it off puts everything back on sale exactly as it was. Pick a reopening date and the store opens again by itself that morning (India time); leave it blank to switch off by hand. Orders placed before the holiday carry on as normal.

Your own domain

Use yourshop.in instead of your BazaarSaaS address (on plans that include a custom domain):

  1. Buy the domain from any registrar.
  2. In Settings → Domains, enter it and follow the DNS record shown.
  3. Once the DNS has updated, your store opens on your domain, with HTTPS.

Policy and content pages

Settings → Pages has your store's pages — shipping policy, returns and refunds, privacy, terms, about and contact. Edit the text (starting points are provided) and publish; they're linked in your store's footer, and payment gateways check them during KYC.

Search engines

Each product has its own search title and description (on the product page), your store has a sitemap for every language, and pages carry the right tags for Google and social sharing.

Settings → Notifications

Choose which automatic messages go out and on which channel — a switch for each:

Message Email WhatsApp
Order confirmed, payment reminder, refund, return decision (to buyers) on on
Order shipped (to buyers) — on
New order (to you and your team) on off
Return requested (to you and your team) on —

Switch one off and only that message stops. Below the table, add an extra address that gets your alerts (say your orders inbox) and the WhatsApp number for new-order alerts (empty = the owner's). Sign-in codes, messages you send yourself from an order, and low-stock emails (in Inventory) aren't switched here.

Settings → Email wording

Say it your way: pick an email (order confirmed, payment reminder, refund, return decision, GST invoice) and one of your store's languages, then change the subject and message. Fill-ins in curly brackets — {name}, {order_number}, {total}, {order_link} and so on — are filled for each order; the list under the message shows which ones that email has, and an unknown one is refused when you save. Put {items} on its own line for the table of items; a blank line starts a new paragraph. Preview shows the email with sample values; Reset to built-in goes back to our wording. A buyer gets your wording in the language they shopped in, or the built-in wording if you haven't changed that language. Sign-in codes and WhatsApp messages keep their fixed wording (WhatsApp needs Meta-approved templates).

Every buyer email comes in your store's look: your logo (from Settings → General) on your accent colour (from your theme), and a footer with your store's name, its address on the web and links to your published policy pages. Without a logo, your store's name is the header; with images turned off, the reader still sees your name.

Settings → Inventory and Verification

  • Inventory: the low-stock level for alerts.
  • Verification: domain-verification tags from Meta, Google and others.
